Do you “scrunch” your forehead and find horizontal lines? Do you have vertical lines between the eyebrows (“frown lines”)? Do you have fine lines outside of your eyes when you smile? These lines are the result of facial muscles interacting with sun-damaged skin, as well as aging. When analyzing the wrinkles on your face you will notice wrinkle that appear when you are moving a part of your face (dynamic wrinkles) and wrinkles that are apparent when your face is at rest (static wrinkles). Neurotoxins (the class of medication that Botox and Dysport are in) effect dynamic wrinkle within days of treatment. They keep the target muscles from moving, and thereby diminish its ability to cause a wrinkle. Dysport & Botox are great as a way to prevent wrinkles from forming or from allowing wrinkles to get worse. Over time with continued use they may even soften static wrinkles that are already apparent.
WHAT IS DYSPORT?
Dysport works much like Botox. Dr. Tutela will inject it directly into the muscles that cause facial wrinkles, temporarily immobilizing them.
AM I A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR DYSPORT IN THE NORTHERN NEW JERSEY AREA?
Dysport is designed to reduce facial wrinkles in forehead and between the brows. People with allergies to egg protein should avoid Dysport.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT AFTER DYSPORT?
Results begin to appear within one to seven days after treatment, and typically last 3-6 months.
HOW LONG IS RECOVERY AFTER DYSPORT?
No anesthesia is required. There is no downtime or recovery time. Infrequently, some patients have small bruises where the needle is inserted.
