Male Brow Lift

Frown lines, vertical creases between the eyebrows that make you look constantly angry or upset. Sagging eyebrows that hood over your upper eyelids. All these signs of aging can be reduced or eliminated during a brow lift.

WHAT IS A BROW LIFT?

Also known as a forehead lift, a brow lift reduces the wrinkle lines that develop horizontally across the forehead, as well as those that occur on the bridge of the nose, and the “number 11” that appears between the eyes.

AM I A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR A MALE BROW LIFT IN THE NORTHERN NEW JERSEY AREA?

As with other cosmetic procedures, you are more likely to be happy with the results of your brow lift if you have clear, realistic expectations about what the surgery can achieve.

If signs of aging in the brow region bother you, a brow lift may be right for you.  These include unsightly wrinkle lines on the forehead, frown lines between the brows, and sagging skin that hoods the upper eyelids.  Do other people ask you “why are you upset?” when everything is fine?  If so you may be a good candidate for a brow lift.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM A BROW LIFT?

You can expect a reduction in the lines and wrinkles in your forehead and in between your eyebrows.  If you currently use botox or another neurotoxin to reduce these wrinkles you can expect to be less reliant on these products (results do vary).  Your brow will be returned to its natural position at the level of the bony rim that surrounds your eye.  In the past older surgeons rated their results on how high they could position the brow.  This has led to many people experiencing a surprised look postoperatively.  How high you can get the brow should be the goal.  Rather a natural position close to the bony orbital rim  achieves a more natural result.  With men too high of a brow produces a feminizing look which is not the ideal.

Dr. Tutela performs both open and closed (endoscopic) brow lifts and each case is tailored to your specific needs and goals.

HOW LONG IS RECOVERY TIME FROM A BROW LIFT?

During your Brow Lift recovery, your forehead may be taped and your head may be loosely wrapped to minimize swelling and bruising after the procedure is completed.

Initial wound healing may take 10 to 14 days. Sutures or clips will be removed when it is appropriate. You should be ready to return to work and normal activity after two weeks.

Cosmetics can help camouflage any bruising. Contact Tutela Plastic Surgery for more information on our Brow Lift Procedure.
